To Save Time, Let God and Let Others

My oh my, how the time flies! It waits for no one and cannot be contained. At best, we can judiciously use the present moment or wisely manage whatever future is allotted to us if so blessed. Today, I would like to share some perspective on time management, which is a skill I definitely need to sharpen. Regardless of station or stature in life, we each only get 24 hours a day, which most of us are fortunate to decide how it is spent.

Why Most "Men Who Cheat" Cheat?

Today,  I want to talk about sex. Why not? As it is a basic need, most of us think about it fairly often enough. In this instance, I want to comment on the touchy (no pun intended) subject within the context of fidelity in marriage and relationships between two mutually consenting adults. However, I will attempt to do this from both a biblical and male perspective by sharing some scriptural references and my own personal experience.

Moving Beyond Injustice and Into Your Spiritual Promise Land

Let's be real. Sometimes life just deals crappy cards regardless of law-of-attraction, karma or anything else that can rationally explain unfortunate circumstances. One character example that comes to mind is Joseph, son of Jacob (Israel), in the book of Genesis. Out of jealousy, his brethren sold him into slavery for 20 pieces of silver to Ishmeelites who then brokered him to Potiphar, captain of the guard to Egypt's Pharaoh (Genesis 37: 23-29). Scriptures tell us that the Lord was with Joseph and blessed him to prosper so much during his servitude to Potiphar that he was elevated to the top of the household and second only to his master. However, that did not last forever as Potiphar's wife falsely accused him of sexual improprieties, thus culminating in his imprisonment (Genesis 39: 7-20).

Thoughts on Easter Sunday and What It Means To Me

Happy Easter! Blessed Passover! And to others who do not partake, just have a great day, eh?

This weekend I am dog sitting for friends who are taking in the Coachella Music Festival, which is great for me because I get to hang with my favorite "road dog", Tigger (see photo below). 

It was a beautiful day at the park. One never knows what crouching tigers or hidden dragons they may happen upon in LA's ethnically diverse landscape. I saw neither today, but did discover 3 beautiful elderly Chinese women practicing Tai Chi (see photo below) with swords and umbrellas. It was pretty cool. Afterwards, Tigger and I took in some visual stimulation walking thru Mar Vista's neighborhood streets and came upon the most majestic color of purple I've ever witnessed (see photo below).
